CCU St. Elisabeth Rehabilitation Center, Panykworo, Bungatira


  • Guidance of Beneficiaries in their daily social lives at the rehabilitation center

  • Store keeping, Budgeting for nutrition and activities at the Centre

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of activity plans budgets and weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the center.

  • Registration of new Beneficiaries, keeping up to date Records of Beneficiaries

  • Educational activities, sports and music with beneficiaries

  • Attending to medical care of the beneficiaries at the CCU St. Elisabeth Rehabilitation Center

  • Spiritual Guidance of Beneficiaries

  • Oversee all Center activities and be the primary contact point for the Center and the CCU staff

  • Promote Children’s rights and duties and encourage them to join home activities

  • Attending and leading team meetings, celebrations, team prayers and other events

  • Act as the overall spokesperson on behalf of CCU in as far as the Center state is concerned

  • Support Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning as an integrated unit to various interventions in the center

  • Assisting with administrative responsibilities and promoting a positive atmosphere at the Rehabilitation Center

  • Secretary to the Home management Committee

  • Provide information, advice and support to the children, staff and the entire CCU community, work with children according to their care plan and update them

  • Provides guidance and support for staff, ensuring clarity over center plans and priorities and encouraging practical teamwork.

  • Any other assignment on behalf of CCU provided by your supervisor

Qualifications and skills required:​

  • S/he MUST hold a Diploma or a Degree in Child protection, Child Development or Social Works

  • Related discipline with at least three years progressive work experience with a reputable institution(s)

  • Able to lead and direct your team to ensure the highest quality care is provided to the children at St. Elisabeth Rehabilitation Center.

  • Ability to use your initiative, lead a team to greatness and use their skills to move the center forward

  • Ability to establish and promote a communal environment conducive for children to attain the desired hope for a better future

  • A mother/ father figure for children.

  • Humane, kind and able to give time for children​

  • Ability to endure and manage stress

  • Ability to speak and write confidently in both English and Acholi/ lwo

  • Computer literacy (basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel)

  • Training in first aid

  • Valid Riding license is a MUST
